{"id":10973,"date":"2025-10-06T11:28:56","date_gmt":"2025-10-06T09:28:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lori.hr\/?p=10973"},"modified":"2025-10-06T11:55:50","modified_gmt":"2025-10-06T09:55:50","slug":"proslava-25-godina-lori-smoqua-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lori.hr\/en\/proslava-25-godina-lori-smoqua-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"25 Years of LORI @Smoqua 2025: Group Photo, Conversation, Film &amp; Quiz"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\ud83d\udcc5 <strong>FRIDAY, October 10th<\/strong><br>\ud83d\udd60 <strong>16.30 \u2013 22.00<\/strong><br><strong>Korzo (in front of City Hall) + Circolo (2nd floor), Uljarska 1<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since this year\u2019s Smoqua is a celebration of the power of togetherness and of <em>(the first)<\/em> 25 years of LORI, <strong>Friday, October 10,<\/strong> is dedicated exactly to that!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>\u2794\tAt 16.30, in front of City Hall<\/strong>\u00a0, we invite you to the group photo <strong>\u201cTogetherness Under the Rainbow!\u201d <\/strong>to capture a moment of queer togetherness beneath rainbow flags and Smoqua\u2019s banner at Korzo.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Afterward, we move to the beautiful space of Circolo (2nd floor, Uljarska 1) for a proper birthday celebration:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>17.30 Festival opening<\/strong> with a toast to memories and plenty of laughter,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>18.00 <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/lori.hr\/en\/razgovori-smoqua-2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Conversation on lesbian* achievements in activism<\/strong><\/a> bringing together changemakers from across the region \u2013 from Slovenia to North Macedonia \u2013 who will share stories of how we organised, what motivated us, and what we achieved<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>19.30<\/strong> <strong>Premiere of Noah Kraljevi\u0107\u2019s documentary film about LORI<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>20.30<\/strong> The hilarious <strong>quiz The Weakest Barbie<\/strong> hosted by fabulous <em>Drag hens<\/em> will spice up the evening \u2013 we\u2019ll learn a thing or two about queer history, and yes, there will be small prizes!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure style=\"padding-top:0;padding-right:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30);padding-bottom:0;padding-left:var(--wp--preset--spacing--30)\" class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"720\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 1280 \/ 720;\" width=\"1280\" controls src=\"https:\/\/lori.hr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Najava-Lori-25-Godina-teaser.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">And what exactly are we celebrating?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In October 2000, a dozen girls and women, determined to raise public visibility of LGBTIQ+ people, break down prejudices, and work toward greater acceptance in society, founded in Rijeka <strong>LORI<\/strong>. At the time, local media reported on them as the \u201clesbians in Dolac\u201d \u2013 with little public attention, yet with the beginning of a story that would profoundly change the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From the first small office in Rijeka to the second, slightly larger office in Rijeka to becoming a nationally and internationally recognised organisation \u2013 <strong>LORI celebrates 25 years of existence<\/strong>! A quarter of a century of activism, advocacy, educations, art, and friendships has shaped our lives, our city, and society at large.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year, as part of Smoqua, we dedicate a special space and moment to this milestone.
