From October 1 to 3,<\/strong> 2026,<\/strong> Rijeka will once again become a gathering place for queer and feminist culture, art, and activism\u2014and this year, we\u2019re celebrating 10 years of the festival<\/strong> \ud83c\udf89<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the years, Smoqua has grown and evolved, but the values that drive and guide us remain the same. Togetherness, non-violence, equality, solidarity, and environmental care<\/strong> are woven into everything we do and stand for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\ud83d\udc9a<\/strong> Sustainability & Caring for Our Planet<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Smoqua loves nature, which is why we always consider how to provide sustainable travel options to Smoqua and what footprint we leave behind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together with H\u017d Passenger Transport,<\/strong> we\u2019re encouraging you to travel to Smoqua by train as a greener way to get here. Even better: you can get 40% off your return ticket if you\u2019re travelling by train from Croatia or Slovenia (for a trip of 25 km or more). All you need to do is mention that you're attending Festival Smoqua when purchasing your ticket, and get it stamped with the LORI stamp at our info point!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also care about what stays behind after the festival. Our posters and flyers are printed by Adria Print<\/strong><\/a> - huge thanks to them<\/strong>\u2014 using recycled paper. We strive to print mindfully, use materials responsibly, and reuse whatever we can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Smoqua loves bringing people, ideas, and the local community together\u2014including flavors!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our gatherings will once again be enriched by Davor Tudor<\/strong><\/a> and Suza T.B. liqueurs<\/strong><\/a>, as we believe in supporting local producers who share our values, just as they believe in us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sexuality, the body, pleasure, and sexual health are part of life\u2014and we should be able to discuss them openly and without shame. Breaking taboos begins with open and informed dialogue, and thanks to INTIMINI<\/strong><\/a> and LELO,<\/strong><\/a> we\u2019ll be giving away free menstrual cups and intimate accessories!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
