During Smoqua\u00b3 festival (May 23 - 25, 2019) female artists from Rijeka Nika Krajnovi\u0107, Tanja Bla\u0161kovi\u0107 and Luisa Rito\u0161a<\/strong> will create a mural based on the data collected during the examination of publics opinion on the notion of normality<\/strong> (April 2019, PaRiter).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Survey \"What do the citizens of Rijeka consider normal?\"<\/strong> was made by gathering responses from people who were interested on several questions about perception of normality in various social issues related to LGBTIQ human rights and the reproductive rights of women. Some of the questions were: Is it normal that the women don't shave?, Is it normal to hide tampons and hygienic pads? Is it normal to breastfeed in a public space or in a working place?, Is it normal that two men kiss in a public space? Small boxes for the answers were set up at a dozen locations around Rijeka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the collection of the answers, the most interesting ones were selected and translated into English. At the Smoqua, on the first and second day, the art trio will make the queer mural on the wall of ERSTE Bank<\/strong> next to Palach in Kru\u017ena ulica. Together with the activists from the association PaRiter<\/strong>, the artists will present the mural and the results of the survey on Friday, May 24, at 14:30.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
