Lesbian Organisation Rijeka “LORI” (hereinafter: LORI) respects the privacy of users of its website and is committed to protecting personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and applicable laws of the Republic of Croatia.

This Privacy Policy explains which personal data we collect, for what purposes, on which legal basis, how long the data are retained, and what rights data subjects have.

Depending on how the website is used, LORI may collect the following personal data:

  • first and last name

  • email address

  • other data voluntarily provided via email

  • technical data related to website usage (e.g. IP address, device type, browser)

The website also includes a manual download form, which is used solely to collect information about the intended use of the manual and does not collect personal data.

  • providing information about the organisation’s work and counselling services

  • maintaining a database of LGBT-friendly psychologists and professionals

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google.

Google Analytics collects anonymous technical data relating to website usage, such as pages visited, duration of visits and device type. These data are used solely for statistical purposes in order to improve the website’s content and functionality and are not used to identify individuals.

For the purposes of fundraising activities and collecting donations, LORI uses the Lunda platform, operated by Estratos Digital GmbH (Austria).

In the context of fundraising activities:

  • LORI acts as the data controller

  • Estratos Digital GmbH (Lunda) acts as the data processor

Through fundraising tools, donor data such as first and last name, email address, donation amount, currency, payment method and technical data required to process transactions may be processed.

  • Estratos Digital GmbH uses Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. payment services (C/O A&L Goodbody, Ifsc, North Wall Quay Dublin 1., Dublin 1, Dublin; Privacy Policy: https://stripe.com/en-gb-hu/privacy) as a provider of stripe Connect services.
  • Estratos Digital GmbH uses Stripe Technology Europe Ltd. (The One Building 1,Lower Grand Canal Street, Dunblin 2,Ireland); Privacy Policy: https://stripe.com/en-gb-hu/privacy) as a provider of authorised payment services. 
  • Estratos Digital GmbH uses Sendgrid (that is a service provided by Twilio Ireland Limited, a company registered in the Republic of Ireland, whose registered address is 3 Dublin Landings, North Wall Quay, Dublin 1, Ireland. DPA: https://www.twilio.com/en-us/legal/data-protection-addendum) as a directly integrated mass email sender of Lunda for receipts and transaction related automated emails.
  • Paypal (PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg) as a provider of payment services.
  • Action Network (1900 L St NW, Suite 900, Washington DC 20036; Privacy Policy: https://actionnetwork.org/privacy) as a comprehensive CRM solution, integrated emailer, action pages platform.

7. Database of LGBT-Friendly Psychologists and Professionals

LORI maintains a Database of LGBT-friendly psychologists and other mental health professionals.

Through the application form, personal data of professionals who wish to be included in the database are collected for the purpose of public publication on the LORI website.

The following data are publicly available:

  • first and last name

  • city

  • contact details

  • experience in counselling and/or psychotherapy

  • primary field of work

  • experience working with LGBTIQ+ persons

  • completed education, additional training and skills

Other personal data:

  • are not publicly disclosed

  • are not shared with third parties

  • are accessible only to authorised LORI staff

Professionals may request modification or deletion of their data at any time by contacting

8. Data Retention Period

Personal data are retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which they were collected, unless applicable regulations require a longer retention period.

In accordance with the GDPR, data subjects have the right to:

  • request rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data

  • request erasure of personal data

  • request restriction of processing
