We invite you to join the volunteer team of Smoqua 2025, taking place in Rijeka from October 9th to 11th!
By volunteering, you’ll have the chance to meet inspiring artists, activists, and participants from all over Europe, gain valuable experience, and contribute to building a safe, inclusive, and joyful space. 🌷

How can you take part?
✨ Distributing flyers and posters
Help us spread the word about Smoqua around Rijeka and other cities. The more of us there are, the further the message goes!
✨ Meet & Greet
Be the friendly face welcoming participants from abroad, helping them settle in and feel the good Smoqua energy from the start.
✨ Shifts during events
From the info point to our Queer-UP! Party – volunteers help everything run smoothly while also making space for new friendships and connections.
✨ Space Preparation
Be part of setting up and decorating festival spaces – before, during, and after events. Perfect for creative and hands-on spirits!
✨ Safety&Care tim
If you’re passionate about care and community, you can join the safety&care team – a diverse group of volunteers dedicated to making sure everyone, from audience members and guests to fellow volunteers, feels safe, welcomed, and supported. Your role will be to stay present at festival venues, ready to offer help and contribute to a caring, inclusive atmosphere.
What do we expect from you?
Responsibility, flexibility, teamwork, and openness to learning and connecting. However much time you can give – it matters!
