Lesbian Organisation Rijeka - LORI regularly monitors the human rights situation of LGBTI persons in Croatia and, within our programme Combatting discrimination and protecting rights of LGBTI persons and women contributes to annual reports for several national and international institutions.

Over the past few months, at the invitation of IGLYO (The International LGBTQI+ Youth & Student Organisation), LORI contributed to creating the 3rd edition of LGBTQI Inclusive Education Report 2025, which for the first time includes Croatia..

The report provides an in-depth account of the current situation on LGBTQI inclusive education in 49 countries in the European region, and highlights the (lack of) evolution in this area since 2022. The Report is intended to be a resource for governments and civil society organisations to evaluate the current levels of inclusion within their own country, learn from good practice examples, and foster international commitment as well as cooperation to make Education truly safe and inclusive for all learners.

In addition to the report, IGLYO team also created an interactive LGBTIQ+ map and Inclusive Education Index. Together, they rank 49 European countries based on how inclusive their education systems are, using 10 indicators.
