Festival of Queer and Feminist Culture Smoqua was first held in the City that Flows in 2017, and over the years it has grown into an important meeting space for art, activism, and queer togetherness. For ten years, Smoqua has persistently connected the local and international scene
The grand 10th edition of Festival of Queer and Feminist Culture Smoqua, taking place from October 1 to 3, 2026 in Rijeka, presents the exhibition "Lines of Resistance" produced by K-zone from Zagreb. From autobiographical and queer narratives, through socially engaged illustrations
Festival of Queer and Feminist Culture Smoqua, taking place from October 1st to 3rd 2026, brings to Rijeka a space for dialogue on rights, equality, activism, and social change. Smoqua will gather activists from Croatia and the region
As part of the Festival of Queer and Feminist Culture Smoqua taking place from October 1 to 3, 2026 in Rijeka, we bring you content dedicated to feminist art, activism, and creating spaces for the voices of women and female artists. O.K. Gallery will host two works that powerfully reflect on the female body
Sometimes we clearly feel the need for a change, but in the daily hustle, we rarely find a moment to pause and ask ourselves key questions: What truly drives me? What are my real strengths? What kind of work environment suits me
This year’s Smoqua Festival takes place in Rijeka from October 1st to 3rd, and the second festival evening we are at Kalvarija (Ri Teatar) with a diverse programme. The repertoire includes: LELO quiz on sexuality with great prizes
Smoqua always strives to be inspiring and supportive – a place where new ideas, skills, and people from the community create together. That is why this year's workshops bring a touch of activism through hands-on crafting, reflecting on successful career management
Klub Palach (Kružna ulica 8, Rijeka) 📅Saturday, October 3, 2026 🕘21:00 – 2:00 Get ready, however you like—dancing shoes, sneakers, or slippers (if you REALLY must...😊), and proudly come over to Palach: an epic and nostalgic Queer-UP! Party
From October 1 to 3, 2026, Rijeka will once again become a gathering place for queer and feminist culture, art, and activism—and this year, we’re celebrating 10 years of the festival! Over the years, Smoqua has grown and evolved, but the values that drive and guide us remain the same.
Do you live in Rijeka or the surrounding area, and are you interested in organizing community events, queer and feminist culture, human rights, and contributing to a more equal society?
