In September 2025, Lesbian Organisation Rijeka – LORI filed a criminal complaint with the Municipal State Attorney’s Office in Rijeka against Krešimir Rotim. The complaint concerns his public incitement to hatred and violence via social media against a group of people on the grounds of their sexual orientation and gender identity.
On 17 September 2025 Krešimir Rotim published on Facebook a video commentary on the murder of conservative politician Charlie Kirk in the United States.
The content of the video clearly shows that it openly calls for violence against LGBTIQ+ persons through extremist expression, rooted in radical and fanatical religious views and the use of biblical references. The public statement demonstrates clear intent and motivation. By exploiting an event that has undeniably further polarized society, even though it involves the murder of a politician on another continent, the author seeks to motivate like-minded individuals. The message encourages a so-called “revenge campaign” and promotes the idea of sacrificing one’s own life in the name of “truth,” framed as a fight against “Satan,” “evil,” and the “LGBTIQ+ ideology.”

Krešimir Rotim, a member of the Rijeka branch of the political party MOST and a politically and publicly exposed individual, frequently uses his social media profiles to attack what he calls the “progressive brave new world – the Yugoslavia hornet’s nest and prison of his generation, LGBTIQ+ ideology and the liberal regime.”
This is the second criminal complaint that LORI filed in 2025 for public incitement to hatred and violence via social media against a group of people on the grounds of their sexual orientation and gender identity. In March, LORI submitted a criminal complaint to the County State Attorney’s Office in Rijeka regarding the comment “Just kill them,” which was posted under an article in the Facebook group Riječka enciklopedija – Fluminensia. The article, originally shared from the portal narod.hr, concerned a training for school staff “LGBTIQ Youth in the School Environment”, organised by Lesbian Organisation Rijeka - LORI.
