Night march: commemorating Women’s Day

The action is led by Rijeka citizens (hrv.: Građanke i građani Rijeke), an informal initiative that exists since 2018, and Lesbian organisation Rijeka – LORI, from March 2nd to March 31st 2024 in Rijeka.

The Night march for March 8th is a protest action aimed to deliver a message on what is necessary to do for preventing gender-based violence, protecting women's rights and reproductive rights, and to mobilize the public. Accompanying activities of the action are Banner making workshop and Hang out after the march.

Commemorating International Women's Day with the Night march is one way of advocating for reproductive rights, gender equality and the fight against gender-based violence. The action raises visibility of the women's movement as well as public awareness on accomplishments of women's rights activists, and it encourages people to advocate for women's rights.

Night march is organised by Rijeka citizens initiative and organisations: SOS Rijeka, PaRiter, LORI, Delta and SKC Rijeka.
