Smoqua is looking for volunteers :)

Dear friends, as we approach the Second Festival of Queer and Feminist Culture, queer i feminističke kulture Smoqua, we invite you to take action: if you are responsible, communicative, sociable, and have a desire to contribute to the work of LORI and our festival, join us and become a Smoqua volunteer ! You can apply until April 19th at

Activities:

Organization: discussing the work plan, schedule, and possibilities of various festival activities within the team. Let's create a top-notch atmosphere together!
Guest care: communication, welcoming, and assisting festival participants from other cities and countries. Let's give them a warm welcome!
Event assistance: Queer-UP party! and information booths require responsible, friendly, and communicative individuals. Let's represent our community in the best light!
Festival promotion: distributing leaflets and putting up posters. We'll explore the city together and spread the Smoqua spirit!
Venue preparation: taking care of the spaces for various activities before, during, and after the events. Let's leave everything in perfect order!
Recording and photography: documenting the events and sharing them on social media can help promote our festival. Let's create memories!

What is expected of you?

Smoqua volunteers are characterized by motivation - because we want to contribute together to the pleasant execution of the festival for the satisfaction of all attendees - as well as punctuality, responsibility, diligence, creativity, a positive attitude, a cheerful nature, selflessness, and strong communication skills! Consider how much time you can and want to dedicate! Even a little goes a long way when everyone in the team keeps their commitments.

What do you gain from volunteering?

By volunteering, you gain satisfaction and a sense of usefulness because you contribute to the common good. You also gain learning, development, empowerment, and improvement experiences as you become part of something larger than yourself! You will connect with the queer and feminist community of Rijeka and Europe, which helps build a strong socio-activist platform. You will have a great time, meet many different people, and have the opportunity to develop your potential. Additionally, you can continue your collaboration with LORI and/or partner organizations of the festival as a volunteer or on a freelance basis.
