Call for Participants – Training Course for LGBTI Youth “Youth for Social Changes!”

You are interested in LGBTI human rights protection, organising public events and actions with your peers, but you feel as though you lack more knowledge? You wish to learn about relevant tools, youth resources and EU platforms that are out there?  

Training course “Youth for Social Change!” is an opportunity for connecting with youth from Croatia and Slovenia that are engaged in activism with whom you can create joint initiatives and gain valuable knowledge on active citizenship and participation.

Training course is to be held in Rijeka, Croatia, from Friday, February 24th until Tuesday, February 28th 2023 at Delta 5 (2nd floor). Training language is English.

WHO can apply? If you are between 16 and 30, you live in Rijeka or in Slovenia, and you have a desire to try out new ideas in a supportive environment, you are eligible.

HOW to apply? If you come from Rijeka, fill out the Application form HERE and send it to us on  with the subject: Application for Training Course for LGBTI Youth, before February 10th 2023. Number of participants is limited, so make sure you get your seat ASAP. If you come from Slovenia, please contact Ljubljana Pride https://ljubljanapride.org/en/.

Participants from Slovenia have their travel expenses, accommodation and meals covered, while all participants have lunches during the training course.

Five-day training is conducted by Lesbian Organisation Rijeka – LORI and Ljubljana Pride within the project Youth Voices for Social Changes, along with experienced youthworkers and guest speakers. Both LORI and Ljubljana Pride work on advancing and protecting the rights of LGBTI persons for many years, and run continuously educational and cultural activities, along with programs of empowering and supporting LGBTIQ+ community.

Project ‘Youth Voices for Social Changes’ is conducted by Project Coordinator Lesbian Organisation Rijeka – LORI and partner organisation Pride Parade Association from April 2022 until the end of November 2023. The project is worth 60.000 €, ensured through the financial support of European Union's Erasmus + Programme.
